“You’re Hannah Hank incorporated now”

I sat across from my college head coach, her eyebrows raised as if waiting for me to digest the notion. She was referencing to my responsibilities as a professional athlete but extending to ideas of handling my business as a woman beyond being a “Pro hooper”— a title I worked for since I played basketball with a red bow in my hair.

“Incorporated” gestures to my journey from a country kid born and raised on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia to a Clemson University alum. Basketball feels like it has always been the common denominator in my life but graduating with a bachelors degree in english and a minor in communications has opened up new opportunities to me as a creator.
